XTsea is a Seawind 1160 Deluxe sailing catamaran in the ‘Owners Version’ configuration. Built in 2006 by Seawind in Wollongong, she has been the home of her owners Colleen and David for over six years. In that time Colleen and David have completed a circumnavigation of Australia.
Appointed for bluewater cruising, XTsea is fully equipped to handle the needs of charterers with an upgraded larger BBQ and a microwave oven, and has a full suite of glasses, cups, plates, utensils and serving-ware. She has the largest sized ‘Bullfrog’ Aqua lilypad swim mat, a Stand Up Paddleboard, and a clear-bottomed kayak. There is a 6-person RIB tender with 15HP motor if required.
For twilight or night charters, XTsea is the only boat of this size on the harbour to our knowledge which has a lighting display. There are multi-colour neon-look LED lights down each side, and a ‘meteor-drop’ effect on the staunchions. Combined with striking graphics and a boom-bag emblazoned with the boat logo, XTsea really does stand out.
XTsea’s audio system is top-of-the-line. There is a Fusion MS-RA770 head unit with DAB+ radio, Bluetooth, and an ipod with some bangin’ playlists. A 600W amplifier pumps out the tunes to 10 speakers in total. In the cockpit there are 7.7inch speakers with coloured LED lighting as well as box speakers mounted on the davits for a fully immersive sound. Amplified tower speakers mounted on the mast convert the foredeck into a full-on dance-floor.
Colleen is a qualified coxswain and is ably supported by husband David who acts as concierge on charters after handling the ropes for the docking. Crew look the part with epaulettes and nametags worn on every charter.
